Does Fat make you fat? Or Skinny?
It’s such an ongoing question, does fat make you fat or skinny? The answer is…..
It depends.
In 1972 Dr Atkins published a book praising a low carb diet for fat loss. This diet was very successful for many people eager to lose weight quickly, but had many long term problems. The diet was all about restricting carbs and gave dieters free rein to load up on as much processed proteins and low carb foods as they wanted. This can work to get weight off of many, but digestively all the meat and sodium can cause an inflammatory response.
It became a short term fad diet to kick pounds quickly and regain them just as fast.
Over the years people began modifying this diet because they realizing burning fat in place of glucose was a much more efficient way to live. By removing hard to digest grains and sugars that feed pathogens, many were able to lose weight and manage auto immune disease.
I personally have Lyme Disease and have found a form of Ketogenic diet is the healthiest option to eliminate my symptoms. I have experimented with the diet over the last 6 years and found that a keto diet high in veggies, fats and fish is the ultimate diet for reduced inflammation and overall health and energy. Keeping dairy, processed meats, pork and high salt foods to a minimum is an absolute must.
The KetoTarian Diet/ Book is a mostly plant-based plan to burn fat, boost your energy, crush your cravings, and calm inflammation.
A conventional ketogenic diet and the ketotarian diet are similar in the sense that your macronutrient ratio is made up of high fat, moderate protein, and low carbs. However, it's where those macros come from that is different. Traditional ketogenic diets are often extremely heavy in dairy and meats—both of which can be inflammatory and unhealthy in high amounts for long periods of time. The ketotarian diet instead focuses on getting healthy fats and protein from plant-based fats such as avocados, olives, nuts and seeds, coconuts and loads of antioxidant and fiber-rich vegetables.
Combining This type of diet with fasting is an Auto Immune powerhouse!
Fasting has gained popularity for many reasons. Most people fast because of a week of bad food choices.

The body can burn (eat) dying cells
The list goes on and on of health benefits, If you decide to try the Keto Diet or fasting, please consult your physician.
